Terms of Service

Storybook Firsts ("we," "us," "our") provides a custom board book creation service at storybookfirsts.com. Customers upload 16 photos, which are transformed into watercolor-style illustrations using AI. We generate a personalized rhyming story and produce a printed board book. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

• All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
• Prices are displayed in USD and include shipping (unless otherwise stated at checkout).
• Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email with your unique project link.

By uploading photos, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the photos or have the legal right to use them.
• You have the consent of any individuals depicted (or, for minors, consent from their parent or legal guardian).
• The photos do not contain illegal, obscene, or inappropriate content.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if uploaded content violates these requirements.

• Your photos: You retain full ownership of your original photos. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, transform, and reproduce them solely for the purpose of creating and fulfilling your board book order.
• Your book: The finished board book — including the AI-generated watercolor illustrations and story text — is created for your personal, non-commercial use.
• Our service: All other content on storybookfirsts.com (design, code, branding, marketing copy) is owned by Storybook Firsts and may not be reproduced without permission.

Before your book goes to print, you will receive a digital proof via your project link. You are responsible for reviewing the proof and approving it. Once approved, the book enters production.

If you do not respond to your proof within 30 days of delivery, we may proceed with printing based on the generated proof.

• Standard shipping is included in the order price for domestic (US) orders.
• Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and in confirmation emails, but are not guaranteed.
• We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or incorrect addresses provided by the customer.

• Before proof approval: You may cancel your order for a full refund.
• After proof approval: Because each book is custom-made, we cannot offer refunds once production begins.
• Damaged or defective books: If your book arrives damaged or with a printing defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will send a replacement at no charge.

If you opt in to SMS notifications at checkout, you agree to receive transactional text messages related to your order. See our Privacy Policy for full details on SMS messaging, frequency, and how to opt out. Reply STOP to cancel at any time. Msg & data rates may apply.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Storybook Firsts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of our service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for your order.

AI-generated content (illustrations and story text) is produced algorithmically. While we strive for quality, results may vary and we do not guarantee specific artistic outcomes. The proof review step is your opportunity to evaluate the result before printing.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Upload content that infringes on any third party's rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the operation of our website or AI systems.
• Share your project link publicly (it contains your photos and order details).

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
